Overview

 

  • A total of 19,700 SqMt of road to be relaid.[RoadLaying.doc]
    •  main road to Park  - 1575
    • 1st Main                 - 350 sqmt
    • 12th 1st cross         - 675 sqmt
    • remaining               - 17000 Sqmt
  • 1600 SqMT of Wet Mix for badly damaged roads.
  • 25- 40-50mm planned.

1. Civil aid propose to take one core sample for every 1000 sq. metre.
2. Minimum of  6 cores shall be offered for extraction after the completion of the road work.
3. Core extraction charges are Rs. 1000 per sample
3. Following are the tests to be conducted on extracted core samples.
    Thickness ....                        Rs. 200/- per sample
    Bitumen Content....              Rs. 700/- per sample per layer
    Gradation of aggregates     Rs. 300/- per sample per layer
    Density                             Rs. 200/-
4. Transportation charges of Rs.1500/- per day  and generator charges Rs. 500/- will be charged extra.

 

Supervisors

3 engineers will be deputed . 2 onsite when the Wetmix/ asphlating is going on and 1 at the plant to supervise the quality of the mix etc.

They have proposed to conduct

  •  Depth checking . Temperature checking.
  • Camber and profile correction and Pre measurment.
  • Bitumen check and setting at the plant

 

Tasks/Milestones

  • Apply Seal Coat [ which is 105 Rs SqMT extra ] around the park area. This provides a smooth coat for members to walk / bike / kids to play.
  • Identify the different 1600 SqMT which requires WetMix [ badly damaged road]

Risks

  • Any vendor can stop the work half way through.
    • Pay in stages after the roads are laid.
    • Hold 7-8L for a year
  • low lying areas , ones with lot of trees get damaged
  • Water flowing from every house will damage the roads.
  • New construction issues

FAQ

Road Cutting by plot owners - what do we do ?

  • LWORA will work on the option of empanelling two contractors for regular construction activities within the estate.
  • If a plot owner requires road cutting, the subsequent patch up will be undertaken by the empanelled contractors
  • The empanelled contractors will ensure that the patch up is undertaken to the specifications agreed by LWORA
  • The charges for the patch up will be standardized
  • The charges will be invoiced to the Plot owner
